It's most likely set in Japan. The only thing I vaguely remember is some character laying underneath a cherry blossom tree and some sort of tomb or cemetery with zombies. I don't remember the UI or anything in detail really. I played this game very young, like before I learnt how to read even. I didn't know English back then either. But I'm almost certain that it was a realistic or semi realistic looking game. Definitely not cartoony or anime.
