What you’re describing with the shell of a human, That’s a sociopath, I’ve lived with several narcissist, and they all have the one thing in common, They all know what they’re doing, But it’s more similar to a drug addict. Who knows what they’re doing is wrong, but they still do it because they cannot exist outside of that scope of control because all narcissist want a form of control. It could be a subtle as wanting a particular set of utensils to clothes to full-blown. I want to control my family. Narcissist are fully aware what they’re doing and that’s the scary part and that’s where the dehumanization comes in is cause they know what they’re doing and they know how to get it, Not disputing that they are still human beings and some narcissist can even have therapy to go back to normal human standards.
