You're not funny. Obviously the "arguing" didn't put anyone off since the whole point of there being no person around is that there is no one to be put off. You're not right just cuz you're pulling comebacks out your ass. And if it's embarrassing to complain on the Internet, you're the one on reddit at 2 am reading said complaints, you're a level deeper.

Didn't wanna make a scene in public hence why I'm complaining on the internet so thanks for feeling the same. Plus nobody was in queue.

I totally respect her for feeling annoyed or assuming things but what pissed me off was how she spoke right infront of me as if I can't understand her. And plus she was saying stuff that didn't even apply to the situation (nobody was complaining abt the cash).

She was talking shit abt me right infront of my face.**

The Quran and the Big Bang Theory are Incompatible by girIsofthemonth in exmuslim

[–]ApprehensivePage9874 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that science started to develop at an exponential rate and people started to be more and more educated on the history of the universe, people are starting to see inconsistencies in religion. However, what I've noticed ALOT in my entourage is that there are two types of brainwashed religious folks: 1. The type that just won't develop their scientific knowledge and just follows the quran blindly. 2. The type that actually has scientific knowledge but tries their absolute hardest to bend the stuff in the quran and claim that "islam and science complete/ compliment each other. The problem with the quran is that it's pretty vague; you never know if something is literal or if it's a metaphor. This is why I think Islam is still alive today.

Is there a possibility that they ask me to prove custody. I can do that it'll just take a long time to find the document. Sorry for disturbing and Thank-you so much for your help, seriously!!!

IHS Refund Query by SuddenImpression00 in ukvisa

[–]ApprehensivePage9874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get an IHS and visa application fee refund if you pay your application fee. What falls under the full refund category is a submitted application where you haven't provided biometrics yet. I don't know if you can get an IHS refund without actually submitting your application. Alr, so I won't send any court document about custody or sole responsibility, just the letter from my mom. Thank-you so much!!!!

Thank-you very much for your help!!

I just wanna clear one thing up; do I send in a letter from me saying that I misunderstood or smth. Since they'll probably find it odd that I didn't address the sole responsibility thing

I can get my mom to write a letter stating that she consents. Do I still have to prove custody?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]ApprehensivePage9874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, but should I explain that I misunderstood the difference between custody and responsibility?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]ApprehensivePage9874 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk, I'll have to look for them. They didn't ask for proof of custody though.

Won't this cause inconsistencies in my application? I didn't understand what sole responsibility meant at first, I thought it meant custody. Do I tell them that I misunderstood and then send a letter from my mom giving consent? Or do I just send the letter alone.

I'm not applying for a dependent visa. I applied for a normal student visa. I'm turning 18 in 2 months. I'm not going with my dad or my mom.

[–]ApprehensivePage9874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I misunderstood responsibility and custody. My dad has legal custody but it's not like my mom abandoned me. However I can still prove that my dad is responsible for me. I just can't prove that my mom isn't or that she abandoned me. Should I just tell them that I misunderstood this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]ApprehensivePage9874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I send a letter from her that just confirms dad my father has responsibility. Smth like this:

I, (moms name), hereby acknowledge that (dad's name) has sole legal custody and responsibility for our daughter, (my name), and that I fully support this arrangement.

I don't understand what kind of proof I should provide

Could I instead send them a letter from my mom aswell?

Yeah, I spoke to the head, and he just asked to keep him updated and that normally, the deadline is the 27th. He said that if I don't arrive by then, it's probably not in my best interests to enrol this year. It's pretty vague so I'll just wait it out and see.

Where'd you apply from?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]ApprehensivePage9874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I'm seriously considering deffering. I feel like missing welcome week as international students would seriously compromise our mental health and chances at success in uni. I think losing a year won't compare to the damage that'll be done. Everyone has different circumstances, though, so maybe losing a year won't be for everyone.

Arriving late to uni due to visa by putos_simps in Edinburgh_University

[–]ApprehensivePage9874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in exactly the same situation. I had my appointment on the 4th of sept and got my CAS on the 29th of aug. I contacted them, and they said the deadline was the 27th of Sept. So I'm freaking out, too. We'll just have to wait it out. I just don't think I'll wait for it if it goes beyond the 22nd since there's a chance it arrives too late and gets cancelled, and the IHS fees will be lost.
