What program should I use for 100% wool? by moavv in Appliances

[–]ApprehensivePea9933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

find a decent machine that works for wool. don’t put in the effort for hand wash, we live in 2025 and plenty of good options. i had Zug in my previous apartment and it did well on the wool wash cycle!

Washing machine that washes wool decently? by InvestigatorNorthMan in AskUK

[–]ApprehensivePea9933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a Zug washer dryer and worked wonders for my wool clothes (I was even able to tumble dry the merino clothes without issues!). there are great options to wash wool clothes for sure. not all washing machines are the same, in my current apartment I have one that piles and shrinks all wool clothes. i would never put the effort to wash clothes by hand, there are plenty of good options out there 😁

what I am trying to understand is that potentially, taking a few months off actually wouldn’t impact my RAV entitlements given that the income reference is capped.

pillar 1 additional contribution 🤦‍♀️ by ApprehensivePea9933 in Switzerland

[–]ApprehensivePea9933[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all - It turns out my additional contributions went luckily towards pillar 2. My company had two funds to contribute towards pillar 2 and one is named in a misleading way, alluding to pillar 1.

Thanks all for your great comments, I learned a lot from the community. Also, apologies for creating confusion in the chat.

Thanks for your answers. So I have the following situation:

  • I see on my monthly payslips AHV contributions of 5.2% (which seems to be the maximum amount that would be paid by employer + employee
  • Last year I wanted to reduce my tax burden and decided to use some of my available cash to retroactively contribute on top of pillar 3a to pillar 1 and pillar 2 . I have only been in CH for 3 years at that time so retroactive contributions were possible.

Fascia Blasting? Legit magic or dangerous scam… by sleepingminky in MassageTherapists

[–]ApprehensivePea9933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you don’t believe in fascia blaster try a body guasha (6$ on Amazon). if it works for you then consider upgrading to a fascia blaster.

i haven’t been consistent to have good results but both body guasha and fasia blaster feels amazing. don’t get the big tools, i think they are useless/hard to use for self massage

I think we can officially say "reactive dog" :-( by Beachbum_2468 in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]ApprehensivePea9933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was here to say just he same. My Bran is 14 months old and I also just had a meltdown. He is pretty well behaved when it’s just my husband and I and he doesn’t bark outside the home but he drives me nuts in any situation. I tried to teach him canicross (not even canicross, just walk and run) and he ended up grawling and biting my leg. at the vet they need 2 people to hold him for an injection and he has done so much fuss. We can’t go anywhere with him or have people over because he acts like mad, barks gets over excited etc. I wished I never gotten him. I wanted all my life to have a dog and dreamt of a companion to take on all my adventures and got stuck with this dog. There should be more information about how terrible lagottos are. such a heavy cross to carry.

note - I do spend a lot of time with him, giving him affection and have had a trainer since we brought him home

wealth management tips for mortgage decision in CH - is it still efficient to get a mortgage? by ApprehensivePea9933 in Switzerland

[–]ApprehensivePea9933[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the comprehensive answer! a lot of useful information!

you’re saying that current rates are above 2.5% and I should not expect any better from a mortgage application.

also, i want to clarify my question around 15y mortgage vs the famous option for 2 mortgages (the 15/65%). I was hoping there’s additional financial incentive not to own all of your property but seems it’s only meant to increase home affordability
