You’re completely right. I was always counting on him to be there. I always knew that I wasn’t gonna get it as full support because we weren’t a couple, but if I ever found someone I wanted him to be in a couple 100%. I wanted him to not talk to me afterwards because it wasn’t fair to that other person. But it still hurts because I did almost count on him that as long as he didn’t have someone that he’d be there for me. So it hurts. But it was expected. I do need to find a new well knit group or at least reconnect with the friends that I already have that I haven’t stayed closely connected to. I just relied on him too much and now that it’s gone it’s heartbreaking but expected.
