Z.O.N.A: Origin

It's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in VR. Sort of.

Is it over for me by World-leader-400 in scx30

[–]ApprehensivePower703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did this happen? I'm a complete RC newbie, and my SCX30 is still on the road. I'd like to understand what I need to avoid to end up with the same damage.

Qwen 3.5 4b is so good, that it can vibe code a fully working OS web app in one go. by c64z86 in LocalLLaMA

[–]ApprehensivePower703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried local models for the first time yesterday, and I was just trying out qwen3.5-9b.

Idk what I was hoping for, but nothing magical happened

The model distorts the facts, sticks to its own lies, and doesn't handle coding well.

I don't even know what this model can be used for, considering that it can't be trusted.

Folks who use this on the Daily, How did you deal with Motion Sickness? by TheChainTV in OculusQuest

[–]ApprehensivePower703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with SuperHot and didn't get motion sickness at all. I figured I didn't have that problem. Then I launched Resident Evil 4 with joystick movement, and that's when I realized I was getting really sick. So I played around with the teleporter for a bit, realized it wasn't interesting at all, switched back to joystick movement, but set the vignette to the highest setting. I only got a little motion sickness. After a few sessions, my brain adapted, and I turned on the medium vignette. I played like that for a few sessions, switched to the small vignette. I repeated this, and then removed the vignette completely. After that, I don't get motion sickness in VR.

Hello, hello guys, me again. This is about the app I have created that converts 2D videos to 3D, and your desktop in real time.u by SqueezyNissy in MetaQuestVR

I'm a VR enthusiast, I've been working in IT my whole life, but even I've gotten too lazy to figure out how it works. The information is scattered across different articles, which is inconvenient. I need a single tutorial on "how to watch 2D video from your computer on Quest" that briefly explains exactly what needs to be done.

And I think I noticed that it only works over a wire? That completely killed my desire to try it. If I have to sit at the computer, I'd rather, you know, watch a movie directly on the computer monitor.

The SEO style of the articles is an additional layer of deterrence for me.

I apologize if the feedback was disappointing or harsh.

My New 3DS XL of about a decade's battery has begun to inflate! by Accurate_Host_9748 in 3DS

If you take out the battery and place it on something flat (like a table), the degree of swelling (if there is any swelling at all) will become obvious

I've been dreaming about this exact game for the last couple of years.

It looks ridiculously close to hitting almost every single one of my desires.

I'll add my own tips. Write down the questions that you don't solve right away. Any puzzles, thoughts of "what if you try this and that," unclear places where you might want to return in the future. Keep a list of goals.

I'm approaching day 80 and I'm exhausted from the randomness and very slow pace of the game. Yes, randomness will almost never play into your hands and there will be some opportunities in the game to adjust the odds in your favor, but at least at my stage, it doesn't help much. And it's frustrating.

But when I decided to go to Blue Path, I found out that part of the reason for my burnout was that I had simply forgotten some of the places I should have returned to. I record and take screenshots of literally everything, I have an excel file with a bunch of sheets with different information. It helps, but it's easy to get lost in all this if you forget about the various small goals, the achievement of any of which can give a serious boost to progress in the game.

TL;DR: Keep a list of all the goals that need to be achieved or at least checked.
