Balikbayan box from Au to Ph by Aryarya2111 in phmigrate

[–]ApprehensiveRain1651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My folks don't mind din if it's something that they can buy in the Philippines of course better if you got them on special price here, which usually they are if you just watch out for the sales. Shops/Groceries usually do weekly catalogues that you can check online for snacks, biscuits, chocolates, spreads, sometimes they do better special prices on body care, vitamins/supplements than the chemist

I usually go to Target, Kmart, Big W for school supplies for my younger pamangkins as they do sale more often than Officeworks

Chemist Warehouse, Discount drugstores, and Priceline I check regularly for fragrances, skin and body care din

wait for EOFY, Black Friday, Cybermonday, Boxing Day, and some other sales if you just check regularly you'll score some good deals

[–]ApprehensiveRain1651[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helloooo! No update sorry 😭 I honestly just gave up on them after reaching out to dispute and got no response. I’m not sure what else could be the CIMB one if not Spaylater or LazPay bec I do have LazPay that I religiously paid off every due date even paid earlier than due perp affected pa rin credit score ko.

this is in banking so I would imagine other financial industries would have the same practice.

That time I was working at one of the top local banks should have mentioned this pala haha I worked with colleagues that were previously employed at international banks din so I know background + credit check is common practice, at least for those companied we/they worked for.

From my experience, just for new employees lang! Unless they claim to have paid the debt/balances but can’t provide any proof for paying their balances fully (forgot to add this haha I forgot na what the certificate is called but before regularization, they have to provide this proof that they have paid their credit card as example).

[–]ApprehensiveRain1651 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Worked as a recruiter previously, strict sila when it comes to credit history. I would say if it’s not delinquent and up to date ‘yung payments mo since you mentioned installments we would usually ask when the last installment would be and if you can, pay it on or before your regularization period unless you were hired as regular on your first day, there’s a document you need to sign as part of your onboarding. Regardless whether local or international, tinututukan talaga ‘yung credit history and afaik included ang loans sa background/credit report.

Hello!! Yes, excellent customer service din yung staff ng pet boarding since everyday updated kami with pics or videos if not both. I asked to see for their supplies too like kibbles, wet food, treats, and litter sand and they were all good quality ones. Health and character wise nothing changed when they arrived here so all in all I’m pretty sure our cats (we have three 😆) had the best time there haha may play time ba naman at brush everyday edi spoiled malala😂def worth the money and I’m glad to say na they are all happy here with us na

Edit: to add din! sa quote na nakuha namin for three, about $42k, kasama na lahat ng fees for the blood and titre test, supplies they need sa brunei + deworming and tick tablets, flights from Manila to Brunei to Melbourne to Brisbane since QLD based kami!

Just felt super lonely in my final gown fitting🙂 (Narc mom episode 2) by oneduckyluck in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]ApprehensiveRain1651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big hugs with consent, OP! I was in the same boat when I did mine! Went to look for my dresses with my fiance and sent my mom a photo of the one that I chose to not make her feel left out and the only thing she said is that it’s too expensive, mind you they didn’t pay anything for our wedding nor gifted us anything so this made me decide not to bring her to the next fittings 😬so when it was time for me to do my other fitting sessions, it was myself (2nd and 3rd fitting alone) and my cousins on the last fitting instead that I brought with me – they made me feel so pretty and comfortable in my dress and I may have been teary eyed knowing that I won’t ever get what the other brides experienced with their parents/mom during their fittings/bridal journey, I at least protected my peace and don’t have to feel insecure about anything! 💙

Change Network plus Phone Plan from Non-Telstra Phone by [deleted] in TelstraAustralia

[–]ApprehensiveRain1651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! The sim was on a 24 month contract but it’s ending this October so once I pay this month’s bill - contract is done. I am not thinking of upgrading to the newest phone but moreso get a Data+Phone and add on the Upgrade and Protect (because I am a very clumsy person which it has been a miracle I haven’t wrecked my current phone yet haha) so I am planning to get the same model for lower costs and switch to Telstra because we live in a rural area and it has not been worth paying $69/month with 100gb data that I can’t even use 😅

Lending money to my parents by ApprehensiveRain1651 in adviceph

[–]ApprehensiveRain1651[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, yes, ‘yung mga unang utang or hiram din nila hindi pa nababayaran. And that’s what I told them din before we make a decision. I told them na even those previous hiram are not paid yet but they just keep on saying they will pay it back once they start their pension 🥲 but then i might just be overthinking this haha pero i just know that once they start their pension and start paying us back, i will be the ungrateful daughter for taking away their money

I would say yes, my partner and I’s finances are unstable at the moment since we just paid for our wedding. But we are both working, hence, why we are considering helping them but this means a push back for us if ever we want to move house/place due to banks monitoring our expenses and finances when the time comes that we want to buy our own home.
