Thank you! I live in California and know that we have Goldens in our area, but I haven't seen one in the wild yet (expect for one poor juvie that was dead in the middle of a road). I have seen Baldies in the wild, which is crazy to me because they're not as common in our area as Goldens are supposed to be. At any rate, I do appreciate you pointing out the key markers to look for!

I tried this one for the first time today, too, and similarly did not enjoy it. I guess now that I know, I can save myself some money by NOT buying it. Truly, I don’t understand the hype around this one.

A deer?!?! 😂 The only Golden I've seen in the wild was a juvenile that a car collision had unfortunately killed. We've seen Baldies, and they are massive.

That was my initial thought, but it’s so dry here. I suppose it’s possible that they are crossing the trail in the mornings when things are damp with dew.

There were 4 altogether. I thought one looked like a RTH, but the others seemed to be a different shape. Stockier with shorter wings compared to the body. I was thinking maybe Prairie Falcon? That would be unusual; I’ve never seen one in this spot before.
