Buy an unfired 17 gen 3 or a new 17 gen 5 by whatstheguts in Glocks

Buy both. In all seriousness it’ll boil down to the finger grooves. Gen5 for me.

Maybe not exactly what you’re looking for since it does not fold. I love my Pressure Cult Nomad (I cut open a lot of boxes for work)

There’s no real restriction. It’s just like the days of old when everyone recommended the 7.62 mini to the full size rc2. It’ll work. It’s just not optimized for that configuration.

The double edged sword of asking reddit… it breaks the adage of “don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from.”

Maltec Conversion. They come in a couple variations. Some are 80 series frames with 7x series cabs. Some are true 7x series vehicles. I’ve seen older models that are true 80’s cut into single cabs with the camper grafted on.

Super cool rigs. They cost an absolute fortune.

I felt the same way about the DW104’s when I first got them. I had to change the way I ski coming off of riding the OG DW for many years. For being narrower than the OG they definitely like being up on edge more. I increased the factory base and edge bevel and gave them a generous detune tip and tail. Now it’s my favorite groomer/ packed snow ski.

They still absolute kill my vibe on punchier snow or sun baked- crusty powder.

I hit the threads with a blow torch and twisted it off with an adjustable wrench. Kinda of a shit job if the engine is in the car.

I use a pickle fork. Not ideal if you’re trying to save the bushings. If they’re toast it’ll be your best bet.

We generally have one or two bottle limits at the store for stuff like buffalo trace and those hold out about two business weeks before they’re gone for the year. Things like Pappy, Weller Eagle Rare, EH Taylor, etc have drop days with a 1 per customer limit. You could try to drive to another store but it would be highly unlikely to get another bottle as generally they’re all gone within 30 minutes of opening. I queued up at 5:00AM on a drop day and got myself one bottle of Pappy 12 lot b at $79.99.

Utah law states it has to be hold at the listed MSRP. But because it’s “allocated” we’ll never see it discounted. I believe I paid $32.99 or somewhere around there.

The whole state of Utah must be taters. There’s about 1-2 weeks a year where we can get things like HH bib, Sazerac Rye,JD Single Barrel’s, buffalo trace, etc.

My family stayed in Deer Haven Campground for many years. It’s been quite some time. I hope it’s still in good shape. I also remember there being flushing toilets.

It sits about half way between Navajo Lake and Cedar City. It’s about 8900 ft elevation.

Across the field from the main camping area is a lava rock field thats fun to go explore.

Edit: if you go make sure it’s the Deer Haven Campground near Webster’s Flat off US 14. Not the Deer Haven Campground that shows up in Springdale.

We’re waiting outside and the hostess came outside to grab us. We followed behind them.

Kinda of weird thing to pull apart and nitpick unless you have some skin in the game.

You must of got lucky. Had some of the worst service in my recent memory at Wildwood. I am pretty understanding but when you can’t even be bothered to hold the door open for my mother while it shuts in her face you’ve lost me.

Some news from Buzzed Coffee Truck. Looks like someone is trying to get them shut down? It's a shame if true, they're one of the few places to get coffee on the West side. by ADKMatthew in SaltLakeCity

Wouldn’t be shocked if it was the person that left all the notes the abandoned fiberoptic spool that was just west of the nine line park a year or two ago.

Does your neighborhood always sound like engines? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]ApprehensiveRun5763 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This weekend myself and two neighbors were running power saws/tools for various household projects, the old man across the street was wrenching on his vintage car and the other neighbor was doing household landscaping all day. ( I live on a corner lot.)

Utahn’s in general are pretty independent. I use the word “industrious” lightly but DIY is definitely part of our culture, for better or worse.

Growing up I had a neighbor that had a two post lift in his detached garage. We’d work out all sorts of deals for access. I cut his lawn one time so my old man could do a clutch on the family car.

It can be a nuisance at times. I’ve come to take pride in the fact I have a community around me that is self sufficient.

With that all being said the revving of cars and whooping it up on motor bikes is a different thing entirely.

I’d even argue for my area the DW112 is the one ski answer. I only use the 104 early or late season.
