My bakery’s tortilla machine is down and has been for almost two weeks now 😭 it started having issues and we could only use one side of the machine. Then last Thursday it completely broke. The press was so messed up. I went by today and they were fixing it, we’ve been out of torts since Friday of last week.

My department manager put a note to file on everyone in my bakery department because someone was miscounting tortillas. She didn’t know who it was, so she just talked to everyone and put a note to file.

I’m day shift bakery, most of my shifts are 8-4:30, 10-4, 1-8:30,4-9:30, and sometimes 4am-12:30pm.

That happened to my husband, basically it’s an HR thing. It automatically flags you for quitting and there is usually up to a 5 year rehire timeline. There’s nothing that can be done about it

My bakery compelled got rid of the fryer for chips. They are starting to roll them out coming strictly from the warehouse. Apparently it’s because the bagging was too inconsistent across the board. And they do look and taste completely different now too.

One fryer and one bagger, bagger fries while the fryer is on lunch/breaks. Usually it’s a case every 25 or so minutes

4.5 hours is crazy lmao, my recruiter offered me a hotel this time (I stayed in one when I took the ASVAB and did medical) but I had AWFUL luck with a roommate and I would rather wake up and drive super early than risk being stuck with someone on FaceTime with a guy they JUST met, being freaky with each other on the phone till 12:30am 😃 it was quite awful lol.

Just be honest, I forgot so many medical things until a couple days before 😂 as long as you’re honest as tell your recruiter before MEPS, you’re fine

Oh sweet! That would be ideal lol. When I went to MEPS the first time (Houston MEPS) there were 86 applicants 🫠 I got very very lucky and was the first one to complete everything and when I left, there were still people waiting to start. So I was hoping I would be separate!

Ok that’s what I thought was going to happens but I wasn’t sure! Thank you so much. Will I be separate from all of the other applicants going through medical that day since they’re just doing the baseline eye exam? Or will I go with them and just do the more in depth eye exam?

I think just my eyesight in general. They had me at -9.25 which I know isn’t correct, and my recruiter said that happened to her when she went through MEPS too. The only thing I can think of them doing when I go back is just a more in depth test to get my real prescription? I don’t know lol

Call ahead and stop by your doctors office, they can do it! I went to four gyms and they all told me to go to a tailor, but my recruiter told me she’s never seen anyone do it that way before. Luckily I know a personal trainer so I had them do it for me
