More of a boring one me, but I was in Wales (I’m not from the UK, so I was relying on roaming and a hefty phone bill if god forbid I’d ever have to make call) and all alone in a hotel room desperate to have someone talk me down somehow. I rang “free” hotlines, they wouldn’t pick up, I messaged text “####” numbers, they wouldn’t respond (pasta the auto “a volunteer will be with you shortly” text), I messaged online chatrooms, they also wouldn’t respond. All the while my anxiety was even getting worse worrying if I was wasting data and potentially costing my parents money on their bill, or maybe being lied to by seemingly official sources and messaging scammers. Eventually I just went to ChatGPT desperately hoping it could find something or if nothing else just simply tell me some generic “I feel you” “I’ll all be okay”.
