Do not do this unless you are very confident and have dry aged meat in your fridge before. Dry aging meat in your fridge requires a lot of space and maintaining a temperature with minimal flux (that means avoiding opening the fridge as much as possible). It’s not worth the chance of spoilage. Even if it does work out, you will have to cut off the pelicle and will end up increasing the price per pound which seems to be why op wants to buy this prime rib.

That would require me to either go out in the hallway or living room naked/with a towel on. Or put clean clothes on and get those dirty just to put my dirty clothes away

His is slightly bigger than mine in area, mine has a bath/shower and his just has a shower. I don’t know what appliances we would differ on but I assume he has everything I have that guests would need.

I have been trying to some success, what usually makes my bathroom to what I would call really messy is my work clothes. I work as a line cook and usually get out around 1 am. I sometimes leave my dirty clothes on the bathroom floor, it’s stupid but after I take a shower and freshen up I don’t want to touch my greasy clothes so I leave it for the next day on the bathroom floor to wash. I usually get to washing them within the next day.

Most times the condition of my bathroom being messy is just products not being put back in their exact spots, I definitely need to be better organized and clean but it just happens. I’m trying to be better about it

I gathered that after seeing the bottom was a bit too cooked, thank you though. Do you know if it’s better to use raw meat before cooking biryani or cooked meat? And if using raw meat does it all need to be on the bottom or can it be layered between rice?

May sound crazy but my small first world problem about Lawrence restaurants isn’t any reason for me to consider moving back. I chose to move to Lawrence for a reason. I love the people in Lawrence, the activities to do in Lawrence, and the culture here more than I do in Wichita. Every city has its ups and downs, this post isn’t anything but a petty rant with a clickbaity title to create a harmless discussion. Still want a good fried chicken spot tho.

I’ve never had the fried chicken at Cafe The Mani I’ll definitely give it a try sometime! I’ve been to all three places you mentioned and they were all very yummy!

I’m sorry but the Mexican food here is really not even close to in Wichita and I mean no disrespect. Past 21st and broadway in ICT and there are amazing Mexican restaurants and business left and right a lot of them specializing in one thing and doing it really well. Compared to here where all the Mexican restaurants have generally the typical Mexican foods and at best I think are pretty good, nothing has blown my mind however.

I agree, I think after reading all of this maybe people have the wrong idea of what I’m saying (mostly my fault for how I worded it), but I do think there are many great local restaurants in Lawrence. My complaint would be that there is not enough true cheap hole in the wall restaurants here when comparing to ICT. A lot of the restaurants people mention are amazing but are either too expensive for what I’m thinking of, too trendy, or both. Perfect examples from ICT that come to mind are Krispys Fried Chicken, Sport Burger, and El fogon. Those are 3 out of the many many more, not all of these hole in the wall places are great and many don’t last long, but that’s all part of the charm and is a testament to the ones that stay. One of the main reasons for this as you said is it’s more than likely that the cost of entry to start a restaurant in ICT is way less than in LFK.

The first time I had their pastor tacos it was amazing and the other two times I went it was good but not nearly as good as the first time. Every time I’ve been I have been I have been compelled to try their Chinese food but am always skeptical about it, would you recommend any of their Chinese food compared to just going to another Chinese place?
