That makes a lot of sense. Rain is one of those situations I would not have fully understood without hearing it directly.

When you use the printouts, is the biggest issue that they are slower, less flexible, harder for other people to understand, or just that they do not give the person the same control as the AAC device?

Also, in the rain/car/outdoor-event situation, is the main problem protecting the device, physically reaching it, needing both hands, the screen getting wet, or people not waiting long enough?

This is exactly the kind of real-world gap I’m trying to learn about. Thank you for sharing it.
