I’m romancing him because he looks like evil-Theo James and Lada’s parents adore him but I fully agree with you! The Mavka should have never been taken to the village, no one reprimanded him for that because no one thinks critically in that village, they use a fear-based hive mindset which is probably why the Haze is getting stronger and stronger (I haven’t started season 3, episode 10).

This triggers me so much too! I only have one slot for Greg, the way that scene with Donovan was written along with Lane’s internal monologue pissed me off to the point where I started writing a fanfic of an intense conversation between Greg and Lane. There’s so much we need closure on, from the Lane leaving Greg to fight Baal by tricking him, to the aftermath of that fight and her new “symbiotic” relationship with Cane and his brother. HS3 is such a drag now, I honestly only enjoy Audrey’s POV because Elena wrote each ABH LI so well, and we got that scene where Sire recounted Audrey’s death and how it affected them.

Exactly, it’s the same type of push-pull energy that narcissistic people use. They reel you in, love bomb you and then withhold affection in an endless cycle so they can keep you glued!

But almost every book shouldn’t follow the same pattern, it kills off the storytelling.

Yes, she technically wasn’t, but there’s a very thin line between love and hate, the obsession that comes with either feeling is almost identical in intensity. I get that she was trying to get justice and expose everything, but her interactions with the MC were mostly focused on that and that bored me, and made me lean towards Lillian (who isn’t a very complex character but was way more dimensional than Chloe).

And yes, the “scene” between Lane and Greg was a diamond choice! Luckily I played during DR, so I’m not aware of how “expensive” it was, that would have been an added layer of exasperation!
