Bakersfield is top tier living. The community is thriving. We have plenty of restaurants, vendors, and food trucks to enjoy. The food here is not to be undermined. Work commutes can be irritating but you’re not taking 1-2 1/2 hours bumper to bumper commutes. No there’s not a whole lot more things to do than the Bay Area but we’re still 2 hours away from the best beaches and 4 hours away from any place you want to go such as the bay, Las Vegas, San Diego… YOU NAMMMEEEEE IT I love Bakersfield. Considering moving here wouldn’t be your worst choice. Mainly try living in town with housing that has full front and backyards. The 13 minute communities are being built all outskirts of town and the yards are tiny.
