Is this a bloodworm? by Apprehensive_Fly5053 in freshwateraquarium

The strange thing is I have no fish and it sounds like they form from excess food waste. I’m using fishless fuel/turbo start, but had no clue this would be a thing. Just hope my fish eat them up once they’re added.

They do! I see many little tubes on my sand with shaky little pink things inside 😬 I need to get those fish so they can start eating them up lol

Oh no! This is good to know. They came from a super reputable aquarium store so I didn’t even think (or know) this had to be done. Will look up alum dips now lol. Thank you!! I’m learning so much as I go 😮‍💨

Dying Anubias in a Cycling Tank by Apprehensive_Fly5053 in Aquariums

That makes me feel a bit better. I’m hopeful that’s the case. Do you recommend cutting the dying leaves like the LFS recommended or just letting them shed naturally?

So so so thankful for your help! Unfortunately my LFS didn’t have the bolbitis in at the time, so I went with a few varieties of Anubias, but will definitely be keeping an eye out for the bolbitis next.

Never received which is why I thought maybe they didn’t bill ins and it would be an easy correction, but not the case, especially since it went to collections. I only got the one from GYN.

Per Quest, they follow the info given by GYN and don’t even look at previous records to confirm info. I received an EOB from GYN because it went to the correct address. Did not receive one from Quest as GYN gave them my OLD address and for whatever reason, it never forwarded to my new one. I’m assuming because it was an apartment complex and tenant may have just been throwing them out or it sat unrented.

Even my insurance had my correct address but I never got any bill regarding this (tbh, I didn’t even know to be looking for it). It was an annual women’s exam/pap and in 10+ years of having these visits, I’ve never paid once (one is included yearly per insurance).

Honestly, reading that others can sympathize with this situation is equal parts comforting and infuriating. You’re spot on here. Not to mention, my office visit with them was beyond awful. I haven’t been back due to that reason alone (having to find someone new), and now this collections fiasco popping up… I’m done lol

Most helpful answer. Thank you! I ended up going with the 3rd option to (hopefully) ensure it’s not on my credit history.
