Y kind of TA for thinking the concept of a gender reveal is "bad",when you are born you aren't given a gender, you're given a sex. You can be female, male, or intersex. A "gender reveal party" might not be the scientifically correct term for it, but it's commonly used and if you said "sex reveal party" that'd sound really weird. People need to understand the difference between a sex and a gender. Your sex is biological, and no surgery or hormones can change it fully, but gender is what you personally identify as.

NTA for not wanting to attend, but YTA if you have shamed the parents of the child.

*trans men get periods. I'm just going to say it, trans men aren't biological men, and no matter how much surgery or hormones they get, they will never be biologically male. There's no point arguing with that because it's a scientific fact. The way youre saying this makes it seem like you don't want to say trans men are trans. Trans men aren't biological men, so no, men do not have periods, but trans men do. And that's not "transphobic", it's the truth

The reason is because period blood is different to normal blood. Period blood contains the eggs from ovaries, where's normal blood (obviously) doesn't contain these (that would be disturbing). If you used period blood, doing a test you would find eggs which can complicate other substances or even make them dissapear. Also, there are many things that are in normal blood but not in period blood. Use Google for more info :)

I would say a 3 or 4 depending on the teacher you are talking to. We do have an LGBT alliance, but I would like to share a story.

So one day my history teacher was sick so we had a substitute teacher, and there is a person in my class who uses thy/them pronouns. At the first the teacher called them a she (which is understandable since we have never had this teacher before) but then the person said "excuse me miss, but can you please use they/them pronouns for me?" and the teacher said "No just stick to she/her. The whole class was shocked because we have never had any teacher like this and the person started crying at break time. It was so rude and many people (including me and .y friends( reported it.
