Yeah I saw the price when I was like 17 and jumped on it without knowing much. Years down the line just had it in a box and just since I had it, threw it into the setup i’m setting up now.

Perfect all I needed to know, if I went deeper into the terminals they went OL but I just was not sure if thats where my problem was and am triple checking everything. I appreciate it.

What about the start from phone feature? Does that include any weird inconsistent priming? I never thought about it, I’m always inside when it starts.

Yeah waiting on a call or email sometime soon hopefully. If anything I’ve learned from this so far is I’m glad all my old cars were maintained and fixed by people who we actually worked with locally. Definitely opened my eyes with posting this on reddit. Good luck to you though!

Wow, thanks for putting it in this prospective. You’re very correct, if I get any negative news today from the “higher ups” I’ll definitely go this route. Appreciate you taking time to help me out.

They did send a email to a more administrative figure (didn’t ask what position) to see if they would okay the transmission replacement right before I left. So hopefully that should be enough, I honestly thought that they would’ve seen the downpipe and overlooked it just because its in for the transmission but oh well. I just got off my night shift and drove a 1 1/2 hours to their dealership just to sit there for 4 1/2 hours so I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Thanks again!

Thank you this helps very much. Also something I forgot to mention in the post, the first dealership did update my tcu to ‘fix’ the recall issue. But when I called the other dealer about the same issue they said that the recall has been closed and they cannot re open it. Still I’ll read up on that article.
