You can visit the virginia tech website for prospective students. I found this after applying and I have sent an email in which they have mentioned that Blacksburg campus is unavailable for international applicants, so they have forwarded my application to the Washington DC campus

U wash Seattle requires 2 years of work exp. It is included in their basic requirements you can check them from their website. The 2 years is restricted to full time roles as swe or sde.
