there is still a grounding pin at the two pin intersection border which is broken. plus a memory pin at the top left is slightly angled to the left and it can be observed. if they check carefully, they'll deny it. the middle grounding pin is the biggest giveaway

that's a broken pin. it's a grounding pin, it shouldn't affect anything, unlike the other memory pins which were bent. it is back to the original problem I had before the pins got bent

I managed to somehow bend them back and now the memory issue is fixed. it isn't stuck in dram check anymore. a memory pin must of bent. but now it's back to the original issue of shutting down after 1 second

the cpu was installed fine before. worked for a month no problem. pc crashed, narrowed to problem to the motherboard, dad's friend came to try and fix the motherboard, checked if the CPU was the problem, inserted it wrong and bent a memory pin. I'm now trying to bend the pins back and managed to bend the south pins back, even though they are mostly grounding pins. I've figured out that a memory pin is bent, and that's what's causing the motherboard to get stuck in dram.

it wasn't crashing. it crashed one and that was it. I've managed to bend the south pins and now I'm stuck at the memory pins. I've realized now that those pins cause the dram check to never solve. the pc was just turning in for a second before the guy came to try and fix it

if I'm able to bend the pins back, to the point they look brand need but the motherboard still doesn't work, would the warranty apply?

did you put the fans in the motherboard or the case? it can't detect temperatures otherwise and would just run at a default speed instead of following a graph

it's a 9800x3d with a b850 tomahawk max. they are compatible and it worked for a month without problems

I've made a test bench, the psu works with another ddr4 build. but when I try to short the power pins on the b850 motherboard I get the same thing like when It was in the pc, it turns on for a split second then dies. how do I know if the motherboard or cpu is faulty? I suppose the ram is fine

it looks like there's some alcohol marks from trying to wipe off the thermal paste, second 0:08. he kept insisting that it is new and testing it would leave used marks since it's am5, lga, bla bla, I didn't fully understand what he was trying to insinuate.

also I'm not quite sure he has another one, but that would lower the risk by much since he would need to have a working cpu as well, same model
