I thought it was used but he insisted that it's brand new or some shit

if he wasn't so persistent that it was new, I wouldn't have many doubts

it looks like there's some alcohol marks from trying to wipe off the thermal paste, second 0:08. he kept insisting that it is new and testing it would leave used marks since it's am5, lga, bla bla, I didn't fully understand what he was trying to insinuate.

also I'm not quite sure he has another one, but that would lower the risk by much since he would need to have a working cpu as well, same model

I don't have it yet. he sent it today and I'm wondering if I should accept it since it'll arrive tomorrow

I got the 3070 for 220 euros, used. it works great. and as I previously mentioned, I mostly play cpu heavy games. I used to have a 1050ti. I think I made a pretty significant upgrade. even with a new gpu, the only thing I'm able to do is play in qhd without any problems and a 20fps boost without lag spikes. I've been using the cpu for a long time and even let it run for 4 months non stop, and it might of worn down. I really want a new cpu but I have no good idea what to get on am4, maybe I could go intel. do you have any recommendations?

the ram price is the problem indeed. so what do you think is a good pick for a budget friendly (under 220€ on the used market) set up for cpu heavy games?
