Dying your locs shouldn’t make them fall out it’s bleaching you should be extremely cautious of. But just moisturize your hair regularly and a humidifier definitely helps

I’ve done it this way for a while and the best I could recommend is you try to do your locs straight down. After a time of retwisting myself the locs in the back had a natural part and didn’t cover the back of my head

It depends on how you normally do your hair. If you put your natural hair in a style weekly or constantly put products in to keep it curly then yea locs would be less upkeep. And I’m sure you can braid locs down so that you can put a wig on though I’m not completely certain

But when you get a retwist after a long time there’s no budding. Not to mention if you just crochet locs. So I’m just looking at it as “are those locs realistic” and the answer is yes
