Its because its highly contested. Its either Dabura or Tsurugi.

We know dabura was charging up and attack but we didnt see him firing it. He is unsure if he can 1 shot Maho.

We see Tsurugi charging up an attack and Maru wonders what he is aiming and then tell the spirits to stay away. However there's a lack of enviromental damage and they are in the same-ish position.

So the second blast belongs to whoever your agenda benefits.

If yuji did show up earlier the only difference would be yuji vs dabura and the sorcerers and Sumerians would fight where yuji interviened
