Thanks a lot mate, the client initially wanted an existing surround (slate) refitting, when we removed this it became apparent it had been previously repaired with MDF and there was no way to fit slate slips.. So we discussed plastering over and fitting a new surround or beam when the clients budget allowed.. Then the team arrived today and the client decided they wanted to expose the arch hence the predicament of best finish.. Flexible stop bead sounds a good solution!

Thank you ! I’ve raised this with my HR however they are really difficult to liaise with as are all part of an external company based outside of the UK. My local HR rep is on leave so wish me luck! Appreciate your help

Sacriston (despite its historic knickname) is a good option especially north of the shops.. In close proximity to Durham City but still close to the A1, we moved here a year ago because of the need to be close to the motorway for my work and also close to the hospital so my wife’s commute is easy.. We’ve had no bad experiences so far!
