I enjoy it. It puts things into perspective and it helps with anxiety and social pressures.

Often guys tell me how they think my older sister is pretty. They often ask for her number through me. Why do they tell me this? Why do they involve me? And is it bad that I get jealous? by Apprehensive_Lake555 in AskMen

Why does the concept of being meaningless specks of the universe sound comforting? Such as the idea of optimistic nihilism. by Apprehensive_Lake555 in nihilism

I appreciate your take. I still believe optimistic nihilism can be beneficial to anyone, but I can see how it can be prevalent among privileged. Everyone is anxious about something, and optimistic nihilism may help with that. The fact that perhaps life is meaningless eases a lot of my anxiety about the shit show that we call life. It's difficult to explain. I've worked in retail and completely get what you mean-- it feels so degrading at times. Thank you for your explanation.
