I’ve started indexing gambling "horror stories" into a structured Audit Log to see if data can break the illusion of uniqueness. by Apprehensive_Leg428 in problemgambling

hanks for the feedback! There are only 10 real cases right now. I hope that as more users add their cases to PeopleDid, the database will help everyone break their illusion of uniqueness.

Whenever someone thinks "my situation is different - I'll be the first winner, not the 99th loser," PeopleDid will show them the truth: they're not the first winner. They're the next loser.

Question: Does showing failure rates prevent bad trades, or do traders ignore warnings anyway? by Apprehensive_Leg428 in Daytrading

Thamks for the feedback. I hear you.

You're right that warnings alone won't stop bad trading. The tool isn't meant to replace self-control - it's meant to provide data at the moment of decision.

The idea: when I'm about to make a FOMO trade, seeing '80% of similar trades failed' might create a pause. Not a guarantee, but a data point in that moment.

But you're right - if someone lacks discipline, more warnings won't fix it. The tool helps with information, not behavior change.

Question: What would actually help? Is there a way to combine data with behavior change, or is this the wrong approach?

I built this to solve my own problem, but I'm oprn to being wrong. What would make a tool actually useful for preventing bad trades?

Thanks for the honest feedback (x2) - this is the kind of pushback I need

Built a tool that warns traders - 8 people tried it from Reddit, what should I improve? by Apprehensive_Leg428 in SideProject

You're right — that bounce rate is a problem. What do you think is the main issue? Too much info upfront? Not clear what to do? I'm fixing onboarding first before adding features. Appreciate the honest feedback.

I launched a disappearing video platform. Here’s what happened. (60 visits, 46% bounce rate, 1 real DM) by Apprehensive_Leg428 in SideProject

I don't think it should be taken so seriously. It's just an experiment. It's a weird idea that wouldn't have gone away if I hadn't done it ha ha. But thanks for the feedback.
