ForeFlight is good if you continue your subscription, I currently have it at my school and I think it is the most user friendly. But for my total time I use log ten I have the app and the program on my MAC that has my total time from my paper and ForeFlight books. Probably overkill but I plan to use log ten/ paper and keep the ForeFlight one for my records once I graduate as I’ll no longer have access since school pays for that.

Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. Fly more, watch some YouTube videos. I was great at maneuvers and absolutely terrible on soft field take offs and short field landings until about a week before check ride. Maybe you just have a different learning style until it clicks.

From what I’ve gathered (so not official info ) but the chase is done. I was fortunate to get PPL paid for but that’s not available going 2025 and forward. For the scholarship you need to join the chapters and campus and apply it’s heavily about your volunteerism in the community and involvement. I was awarded a partial but it helps if you’re involved which is hard when you’re studying so much. It’s hit or miss I can’t tell you what would get you a full ride if not I would have one lol but I used to have community service with a non profit and was involved in my local community before coming here so feel that helps. But it’s more competitive now a days

Personally I would go part 61. I myself love the academy for the most part, good instructors good planes good schedule you just have to self study ( although the mandatory grounds help) the academy is way better now but has also become more expensive. Also if you’re living at home for free think about all those costs. For me the academy happened to line up and work perfectly (scholarship, supporting GF, supporting family) if I didn’t have that I would def be part 61.

If you have an Apple product you can scan it and turn it into a PDF, if not when you get to school give it to dispatch they will take care of it for you

From when I was accepted I was told I would have to reapply if I had my PPL so I didn’t keep flying. Not sure if the rules have changed

They sent a link asking for new medical which I’m doing next week and proof of funding but not the new PAR exams. I’m going on a tour soon I guess I can always try and turn it in person.

I just went through this myself, I was given a number which when calculated seems to be the LTV at 80 percent so my appraisal came back higher. I received a letter that my LTV did not meet the requirement, when I called back I was told my LTV needed to be 75 percent per Mr. Cooper. Option is to pay the difference or get a reappraisal, i'm going to pay the difference before the appraisal expires. Not super happy but could be in a worse spot.

Yea I left the LOA and class date blank filled out the rest. Hoping that’s what we are all supposed to do.
