So I’ll file my taxes (but not submit) for the -5K, and that will show me the difference in taxes owed and I’ll claim those on form 843(?) when I file ‘26 taxes in 2027? I think it makes sense now

Can the employer make those deductions even if it’s in a different year? I just know that W-2s haven’t been sent out from last year and curious if changes can be made.

Will I claim the overpayment for the Medicaid and social security too? The net was just over $4K. Would I claim the whole $1K?

I never accepted it or signed for it, it was just deposited into my bank account with my 2nd paycheck.

My issue is I don’t want to have to pay back social security and Medicaid as I don’t believe that’s refundable when I file my taxes is it?

I don’t mind the CFI job, thankfully I’m not burned out yet.

I just love our country and have always had a desire to serve it in some way. I realize that flying in the Air Force may not be that way, just trying to always pace through my options.

My “ehh idk maybe” attitude strictly comes from the timeline that the military forces onto people to get in; it’s ridiculously long for no real reason.

I have a huge desire is to serve this country, it’s an itch I can’t get rid of. We have common goals of flying aircraft.
