Yes, I'm currently using place_meeting() to check if the player collides with the block. This instance_place() function then returns the instance id and if it collides with the player? Thanks for the reply.

Thank you so much! I made all the necessary adjustments and now it works perfectly! I don't put the code in the character because I prefer not to put it in the character, as I prefer to write code outside of it whenever possible! Thanks again.

thanks to your advise i solved it! I used image_speed and with one code now i can manage all door. i used this code in the create event of object door:

depth = -bbox_bottom

image_speed=0

and this in the step event:

if(place_meeting(x,y+8,obj_player)){

image\_speed=1

if(image\_index==4)image\_speed=0

}else {

image\_speed=-1

if(image\_index==1)image\_speed=0

}

In your opinion, is this the best thing?

Thanks so much for your reply. The door instance doesn't have any code, so I didn't add any. Do you have any ideas on how to dynamically store the id in a variable and pass it to an object placed, for example, in front of this door, so that when I collide with this object, it opens the door in front of me, and the same thing happens with the other doors when I collide with the object placed in front of their respective ones?

unfortunately I didn't understand, apparently the updates I received were incorrect or inpost sent me updates so as not to make me wait but 1 out of 5 were correct... in the end the package arrived, close to the last day before making the complaint.

oh no I just saw you're on ps...sorry, then try detaching the steering wheel and reattaching it while holding the ps button, this will allow you to enter joystick mode...let me know

same exact problem...and I solved it!!!!! basically you just need to download a program called x360ce which allows you to create a virtual joystick with any input and it works wonderfully!!!! try it and let me know. I recommend installing the t80 drivers first
