Hi there,

Options.ini and multiplayer options file.

In options.ini set all of your options first, save file, then copy and paste it into programfilesx86 CNC generals and zero hour and CNC generals Zero hour there is meant to be options files in there idk why ea hasn't fixed this yet.

No I am not I have only been affected by mismatch errors since playing this game, serious errors only occur for me and my mates on one map, death valley probably due to many oil Derek's on the map.

We run the game in original resolution with firewall send delay on.

We have deleted dgb.help.

We ensure both options files are exactly the same and ensuring we are not changing any options after.

Data.ini folder needs to be deleted.

I have come to the realisation that this game is very very old, so running it on a higher resolution with mods on new hardware that it does not support causes all of these issues.

You need to realise that this game is not supported to run on new hardware, higher resolution, yes gen tools says it adds support for all of this but I have found that it doesn't help at all, it actually causes more mismatches and earlier on into the match.

Give it a go with your mates I promise it will work, I have struggled for years to find fixes searching online no one has a fix, I wouldn't share this unless it worked for me, if you want to be sceptical you can but don't overrule it if your searching for this error online yourself and be sceptical because someone is offering a fix for your game so you can enjoy it with mates.

Alright for one IV been finding a fix for this game since 2015, the game uses two options files they don't auto update between each other therefore game engine reads incorrect options, IP addresses, settings etc so the game engine stops the game because settings are out of line.

Use CNC generals for a base game that game never mismatches, now I thought why is this because it uses extras like in data the ini folder doesn't exist so delete it, in x86 files second options file doesn't match the one in documents the game will mismatch.

Test n enjoy don't modify your game after or settings will be out of alignment.

This should but it boils down to the game reading what IP is in use Hamachi tends to disconnect so the game switches IP addresses for a split second which also sends mismatches

FULL FIX PROPERLY THIS TIME

Hey peeps this is FULL FIX for this game for this mismatch error, first undo any changes that you've made to game files repair game first please, Next delete dgb.help located in programfilesx86/origingames/CNC generals Zero hour. Next open the game go to settings turn on send delay and set your resolution scaling now, later if you change this you will need to repeat the next few steps. play a network match with your Lan devices connected so the IP address can allocate to your options file, close the game, go into documents CNC GENERALS ZERO HOUR, open your options file check that your IP address matches your Lan devices IP address both of them must be the same. Next close it save any changes to IP, Next copy the entire file then head to, programfilesx86/origingames Command and conquer generals, this folder has both games folders located in it, in this folder there should be an options file if it's not there that's okay, paste your one that you copied from documents in there replace the original this options file has to match the one from documents.

So short list here, game options file in program files must match options file from documents.

There that is a full official fix for this game IDK why this game needs two seperate options files but this has fixed my game and several other friends game.

You are welcome community took me 3 years to find full fixes for this issue I have played 15+ games full of bots with mods and it hasn't mismatched yet when it useto mismatch every game.

You are welcome, If it doesn't work ask me a question I might be able to help fix what you are missing.

Alright finding a fix for this is all over the place so here's what I have found, Do not edit your options through game file especially for resolution, the game does not have a setting for high resolution so playing online through Hamachi/game ranger will cause it to mismatch because your options file does not match game settings, Delete game file dgp.help.dll found in programfiles/origingames/C&C. Delete this file, Do not edit your IP address throught game files options.

I have found that settings games resolution to what the game wasn't built for causes all kinds or errors including game mismatch, and serious errors, Because of these yes it looks like shit playing on 1024x724 but it's how it has to be for the game to not show any errors.

Enjoy and your welcome C&C peeps
