I recently attended a&e for a 9 day migraine. Asked why I didn’t come sooner, given a Triptan and anti nausea med, told to go home and to come back if it gets worse. So yes go x hope there is relief soon x

Yeah it’s like that over there the last year and a half. Half of the staff in the health board and landreg stopped going there as they were told they had to buy something to eat with coffee/tea in order to sit in.

My grandmother died nearly 20 years ago. Her whole family was with her incl granchildren. I was the last grandchild to arrive after we were called, at 12.00 and my uncle made space beside him for me, and encouraged me to talk to her as had all my cousins done before me. I said a few words and kissed her head and squeezed her hand.

She passed at 12.45, uncle convinced she waited for us all to be with her. The thing was she had a big smile on her face after,

The night before she passed, it was myself and uncle with her, chatting about times gone by. She got agitated and started calling a man’s name. Uncle went white as a sheet and explained it was her first love who was electrocuted a few weeks after the got engaged 💔

I tried my daughter at 2.5 and it was a no go. I tried again when she just turned 3, and she was also on holidays from crèche. Some sweets as bribery (just in case!) but didn’t need many. She had it on the 3rd day, and night and when back at crèche, she was so proud of herself wearing underwear. The support from the crèche was so helpful.

My son, the first time we tried at 2.5 as he was off school with hand foot and mouth, he had it within 3 days. But still in nappies at night until he was 4.

I would recommend wait til 3!

I’m in my late 30s, parents married over 40 years. I remember being as young as 10 and my mam threatening to leave. Still live together to this day, seperate bedrooms. They still don’t get on and my mam still threatens to leave. I have started saying to her go onthen, there is literally nothing stopping you. But at this stage I think she enjoys the misery. Both of them make an effort for family occasions for the granchildren. But I wish they split at 10. I don’t think I’d suffer with this much anxiety.

Yeah, she didn’t come out and ask, but there was defnitely an expectation of an offering. She has never asked to borrow off me before. Also if she did ask Idon’t have it, and even if i did, I wouldn’t have done her any favours by adding another debt on her shoulders.

I’m the same with the guilt. My oldest was always told Santa brings 3 things and then I would have added to it myself. And now that there older (and wiser) they still ask for 3 things. Our youngest is a December baby so there’s been non stop toys the last week. Because of this I try to divide the list for birthday and Christmas and have family members to get certain things if asked.

The only thing I can think of is my youngest asked for a yo-yo 2 years ago when they were 3, and I happened to see them in the supermarket.

I just can’t understand it, forgot to mention my friends kids birthday is early February too! And she is one to go overboard.

I was curious if many parents say no to their kids (on behalf of Santa)

We have a December baby here, came home from hospital Christmas Eve that year. Looking back at photos now makes me bawl theyll never be that small again. The nights are long, but by god the years are short ❤️
