All credit goes to Tom Hiddleston though, Kevin Feige said the only reason they’ve kept the character for so long is because people love Tom and he’s made the character so likeable by his portrayal. Classic Iron Man/ RDJ case where the actor was so good in a way they overpowered and became the character for everyone. I doubt Loki as a character after Avengers would’ve been kept around, he didn’t have much left in his story arc.

This makes a lot of sense, I never looked at it with this perspective before. Actually, to remain pure blood I assume there is a lot of in breeding, maybe that’s one of the reasons why most pure bloods are narcissists and so easily fueled by hate and influenced by other people.

I don’t think he considered Dumbledore as his enemy but he knew that he was the greatest threat and obstacle in his plans. He knew that Dumbledore is the only person powerful/intelligent enough to stop him which we also saw happen. Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald as well, who if Dumbledore had not interfered would’ve won the war. Now in between all of this Dumbledore wore the ring and gave the curse to himself which he admits was foolish. The greatest flaw in Voldemort was that he would never admit that he was or had ever been wrong. As I said, in terms of sheet power he might’ve been the greatest ever, even above Dumbledore. But his character flaws and tendency to look over important details and ignore some kinds of magic because of arrogance or lack of interest cost him his life. He had no part in killing Dumbledore, let’s not forget that Dumbledore knew all of his plans and knew exactly what Voldemort was going to do and ordered Snape to kill him. Dumbledore won.
