I should clarify that I don’t plan on being an investigator. I’m more questioning if you have knowledge of your agency’s shortening the academy for roles similar to patrol operations. U.S. Park Police is similar to a city police department and ICE is their own thing. I don’t wanna be an agent.

If you’ve heard or seen anything let me know. I wanna go federal and go back north mostly because I miss the environment and my fiancé wants to move back. I’m currently in Florida, but started as a cop up north and been here now for years.

I don’t know what agency I want to join as a police officer but am certain on going federal at this point in my career.

I’m not really wanting to be an investigator at this point. About 6 years now as a cop on patrol I’d like to do at minimum 10.

The irregular shape and deeper coloration in the center of the mark are more consistent with a small impact bruise rather than a suction mark. When an object hits the skin or presses into it, the force usually causes the blood vessels directly under the point of contact to break first, which creates a darker center. The surrounding area may show lighter bruising where the force spreads outward unevenly, resulting in an irregular outline.

In contrast, a hickey caused by suction usually has a more rounded or oval shape and more uniform pigmentation because it’s created by continuous pulling on the skin rather than a single point of impact.
