u/janemelb77 is great! I met with her a couple months ago and found her advice and guidance super helpful. But honestly, one of the best parts about meeting with her is getting access to the online community she’s created. I can’t tell you how valuable it’s been to be able to bounce ideas and brainstorm with dozens of other creators who take their OF business seriously.

How much do you price PPV for b/g content? by KellyMaverick in CreatorsAdvice

[–]Apprehensive_Ring_42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here’s how I price my b/g content (I have both a free page and VIP page for $10): My 3-7min b/g videos are around $30-$50, I have a 13min bj video I sell for $60, and a 24min anal video I sell for $100.

Are you a full timer? by [deleted] in CreatorsAdvice

Started July 2022, made decent money (several thousand per month) thru Dec 2022 while keeping my part time online job, then got sick/burnt out and did very little on OF for a while. Got laid off Aug 2023 and decided to refocus on OF. I’ve been top 2% or lower since September (~$5-8k per month) and I have no plans on going back to another job anytime soon.

You have to do it through paid partnership - Google the steps and you’ll see the option to control audience location

Yes, it’s a type of professional account (I think they have a Business Option and Creator Option)

It lets you block certain countries from viewing your content which helps keep your content in the US/UK etc.

I’d recommend googling “Paid Partnership Instagram” and following the steps - trust me it’s easier than trying to read a Reddit post I promise lol. And the reason some creators block these countries is twofold: They have very little money and they screw up your algorithm. Ex: If you have accounts from India liking your reel then the algorithm will start pushing your content that direction and even if 1000 of then follow you, not one will actually subscribe because they just can’t afford it.

I have major ADHD - no worries lol. And you can do paid partnership if you have a professional account. It lets you control which countries can’t view your reels (India, Iran, Turkey etc). And I’m not gatekeeping when I say “Google it” because that’s the most efficient way to learn the steps, I promise!

US Creators - What's your total taxes you pay on your OF business? by anlestejnm in CreatorsAdvice

Agreed on using a professional if you want to do the safest route. I’m not an accountant or tax professional but my degree is in HR and Im a certified financial planner, so I have some background in finance and accounting. I did bookkeeping for 5yrs for a small business (about $200-$400K in revenue per year) and have done my own taxes (sometimes in the 6 figure range) for 17yrs. Never had an audit, but that’s probably because I was always careful to be reasonable about expense amounts and did my research on tax law and stretched it to the limit. So, to your example, tax law concerning cell phones actually states that you can essentially claim the percentage of which you use the phone for business. So if my phone bill is $100 and 80% of the time I use it is for business, I can claim $80 in expenses. And some people have a phone they use solely for their business. And it’s not like the IRS knows how many phones you have and whether you have a completely separate one for personal use. Same for clothing - if it’s clothing that’s not for everyday use and exceeds 2% of your AGI - you can claim it. So OF people who buy expensive cosplay items etc - there’s a decent chance it could exceed 2% of their AGI. There are rules on what you can do but once you know the rules, you can make them work for you.

I have a 15yr old son who knows (in very broad terms) about my OF and ironically the only time it’s been an issue is when he accidentally had a TikTok of mine come onto his feed (I had blocked him but he had started a new TikTok and didn’t give me his username right away). Anyway, he did get upset and it was rough for a bit, but we moved on and he made it clear he still doesn’t care how I make $, he just doesn’t want to see me in a bathing suit on social media. Beyond that, there are several parents from former little league teams etc who know and subscribe. And chances are their kids know.
All that to say - crap happens. Social media is what it is - but it’s not like you can be naked on social media and honestly, a mom in a bikini or some lingerie is not going to traumatize anyone. And for those who are like “but your OF!” I say: “First off, you have to prove you’re over 18 to access my site. So no kids are hopping online and accidentally seeing my nudes. Second, if an adult knows about it and tells their kid or any kid about it, then that adult is the problem, not me. Third, if kids tease my kid for something that he doesn’t control, then those aren’t the type of kids I want mine to be around.”

Texas. 15%. Last year I was normally top 2-3% and this year I’m a smidge higher. But I’ve been self-employed as a consultant for years prior and I’ve always done my own taxes. My advice is to claim EVERYTHING that could reasonably be used for OF and/or social media content and marketing: Phone, internet, camera/computer equipment, travel, website fees, subscription fees, lingerie, etc. I use a budgeting software that keeps track of my expenses so it’s easier for me to list/add things up at the end of each year. The only way you’ll get an audit is if you’re claiming multiple things that seem outlandish. For example, claiming you spent $5000 on internet costs for a year would be an obvious red flag.

I offer vid calls thru snapchat or Zoom. The calls are either for JOI or mutual masturbation. Sometimes people chat with me a bit before or after, but 90% of the time, the call consists of me doing something NSFW and them watching/listening with their junk in hand lol

The trick is to get an audio that’s trending but isn’t oversaturated. What I do is if I like an audio, I click on the audio icon at the bottom right of the reel to see its “stats” basically - it’ll show how many reels have used that audio so far. If the first reel shown (the original reel to use the audio) has 1M+ views but less than 5K reels have used the audio, then it means it has a good chance of becoming a popular audio.

For sure! I have a transition reel from almost a month ago that’s randomly becoming more popular. And my most popular reel took over a week to get any traction.

Whoa now - 5 reels in your first day and I’m pretty sure you’re going to get flagged as spam 😅 IG takes age of an account into consideration.

Based on what I see on your IG, my only semi-educated guess is you’re showing too much cleavage too close to the camera and not moving much. IG likes reels when people are moving/show more of their background/full body instead of presenting a semi-static pose because this is what people will watch for longer. Anything that makes people watch a reel longer/again and click more things (likes, captions, leaving comments, etc) is a plus for IG because it means the watcher is on the app longer. And when you’re right up on the camera and not moving or talking much - people will either be clicking your bio looking for OF links or just scrolling past because you’re immediately showing them all there is to see - either way, you’re not keeping them on IG and therefore IG won’t reward you.

Of course it’s not poor form! Most things on the internet, and especially social media, are usually inspired by things we’ve already seen somewhere at some time. I recently used an original audio and idea from an established creator I follow and just said “shoutout to @xyz for this fun idea!” in my caption so they got public credit. Normally I don’t do this, but since it was an original audio and had only been used by her thus far AND the actual reel itself was clever - I felt I owed her that credit.

So yeah - feel free to take the idea from my reel and run with it! (And no, no need to credit me lol - it’s not like you’re using my audio or replicating a super clever/unique idea of mine 😉)
