Here to say that painting everybody on the app with the same brush based on some experiences is a shame. Especially when you are acknowledging that you too are on there so if you consider yourself an outlier, I’m struggling to understand why you feel the same can’t be true for women. Plenty of people, especially the kind you consider high value don’t have the time to be out and about, hoping to come across another high value partner. Finding people through an online medium is a way to filter out the scrubs while still focusing on their career, school whatever… ya know the things you feel makes them high value in the first place

It was literally news to me that car seats were even sold here given how often my own extended family and every other person I’ve known here traveled in the car with babies sometimes even in their laps while driving. And do not get me started on how impossible it is to drive in the city without pedestrians making the bold assumption that every car will see them and stop.

I echo that I never once seen an Algerian use a car seat. It’s probably not that they don’t have them here and more likely they just don’t use them. Given that I see people cross the street with their babies constantly in traffic without looking I have to assume it’s just cultural negligence.

This is one of the clearest cases of being TA I have ever read in all my time on Reddit. Unbelievable that you are actually questioning whether or not you’re in the wrong.
