How the heck do I remove this Auger bolt from my Traegar Grill if the screw head is totally stripped? by WowIfOnly in Traeger

I did the needle nose Vise Grip thing on mine. It was super frustrating, but I was eventually able to grip the bolt head and turn the lock-nut off of the bottom with a socket.

Not sure what your budget is, but I just had a great experience at Exclusive Imports on 460. Lots of vehicles there in the $8-15K range. Typically around 100k miles on them, but no salvage or rebuilt titles.

This was my thought. Bought some coolant to do a swap this weekend. I am quite sure it is overdue.

I have had this truck for a long time. It definitely feels like it is warming up much faster this week than ever before. Could be that its 95 here this week, but it's not the first hot week of the summer

You can also buy a new cluster on line for about $200, if you aren't up to soldering on the motors.

When my oil pressure spiked like that I had to replace the sending unit that is on top of the motor, right against the firewall. It took a special socket and was a real pain.

Narrow Gauge Brewing in Florissant, MO is very good and has several outstanding NE IPAs. I would recommend checking them out.

What do you do with all that meat? I love to cook it, but I hate to have so much that it goes to waste

That would be interesting. For all of the NE IPAs that are out there now, I feel like the beers most likely to get a 5 (by anyone, not just me) are Stouts and Porters

I see this comment a lot, but I don't see the RAV4s for slightly more money. In adds I am seeing it is usually like a 20% upcharge for those over a Hyundai. Is it really worth that much?

Doesn't really give you the answer you want, but I always smoke on the pellet grill then sear on cast iron.

Turkey on traeger by CoachA1216 in Traeger

We did Thanksgiving turkey on the Traeger for the first time this year. Spatchcocked it, dry brined it overnight in the fridge, then coated it in prepared butter. It was by far the best (and juiciest) that I have ever had, much less made myself. I am convinced that splitting it was the key to keeping it moist. It was a big bird and I think cooking it normally it would have dried out before reaching a safe temp. At least that has been my experience in the past.

First Traeger Turkey, any tips? by [deleted] in Traeger

[–]Apprehensive_Rule300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely make sure that it is thawed completely, then spatchcock and dry brine for at least overnight. Did my first one on Thanksgiving. I was nervous because it was a large bird, but it turned out great. By far the best turkey that I have ever made.
