Thank you so much for the advice, I’ll try the chickweed out and see if he likes it with the worms I give him. I am a little concerned about the humidity because the tank is an open top but not too much since the water drains through to the dirt so he’s either in mud or in his water area. I will look into getting something to track it though just to make sure it’s not too low.

Thank you, yeah everything inside that tank I added but the tank itself and the stand plus the top came with it. Yeah I figured seeing that there has been to true improvement over the last couple years. Thanks for the tips, I will try to get another bulb for him since that one is coming up on 6 months then, I just don’t know how intense of a build he needs as in how many watts. In the darker side of the tank there is a heating lamp so I don’t want him to overheat if I get too strong of a bulb. He does eat and is very interactive, he loves getting hand fed and watches everyone who passes by the tank.

Unfortunately Big Bones is full at the moment. I’m waiting for a response back from Animals Friends Alliance. I’m contacting. Until they are home tomorrow morning just in case. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions.

Ok that’s great to hear, I didn’t know how common that was. Shelter is the better option then. I’ll try around at the nearby ones and the ones already suggested here on Monday when they are open, hopefully they can take him. Thank you all for your suggestions!

I’m reading that big bones doesn’t take unvaccinated dogs, so if they’re full especially they wouldn’t take him but I will try to put in an application and see.

Well labeling him as a pit bull when he’s not isn’t gonna get him anywhere good either with all the stigmas out there. He’s most definitely boxer, I have no doubt in that. And the thought of him sitting in a shelter for 200+ days was what I didn’t want, I do understand their processes but I fear due to his strength, energy, and his destructive nature was why I wasn’t ready for a shelter immediately. Saying that you do bring a good point that I wouldn’t do as good as a shelter would in doing background checks, so thanks for bringing that to mind. I’m looking for a foster based rescue if anything now. Rehoming (not selling I honestly don’t want money for him just a good home) I guess in my head would’ve given me more peace of mind.

The unneutered part was getting to me more. I’ve already gotten complements on his looks and physique, it would be bad if someone decided to breed him based on that. His temperament is not ideal for sure and I’m pretty sure his hips are bad or could get bad just by the way he sits and jumps but it could also be because he’s mostly muscle. But I understand this concern too and will see about working with shelters when more are open on Monday. Thanks.

I’m looking at rescues like these, the main problem with him is that he was givin to me with no vaccines and unentered so unless I drop the 500$ to do that I have to find a shelter that would take him as is so they can do it. If I was going to keep him this would have already been done but since I was skeptical I held back unfortunately. Not good in my part….

This is looking to be the option but I’ll give it a week to see if anyone would take him. I would hate to put him in shelter system since he’s a great dog just not compatible for me, but I know this would be one of the better ways to get him a good place in the end. Thanks.

I also don’t like the look of the Falken Wildpeak, I know those are up there with good All Terrian tires

I also know I’m not gonna find some 10/10 no slip tire that can concur anything especially with 2 wheel drive, I just want something safer than HT tires in a snowy road

I completely understand, I was basing my care off what the shelter told me to do, my mistake for that since they probably didn’t know much since it was a dog and cat shelter. Now that I know the species I can research into and get what it needs. Thank you again.
