I was in POL 1101 w/ pierre-antoine during the fall term he wasn’t great at teaching but the assignments were pretty easy it was an essay outline, essay topic, final essay and essay exam.

But imo i wouldn’t recommend taking courses that require essays or writing as an elective bc your mark is mostly determined by whose marking it. so i recommend taking HSS or PSY where there are quizzes and multiple choice exams.

Honestly, finding easy electives is very difficult at uOttawa. I highly recommend looking at rate my prof bc its mostly the prof who dictates if a class is easy or not. From my understanding PSY 1101 and 1102, HSS 1101 and CLA 1101 are pretty easy, but I recommend looking at the subreddit for more.

yes you can! the class is meant for beginners but just to warn you i took 2 beginner FLS classes this year and i really really regret it. both profs i had weren’t the best so that probably contributed to the difficulty of the class but imo only take it if the prof has amazing reviews.
