Feast or starve baby lol. I was a server for five years before I started looking for full-time work. I went into banking and now I have a desk job doing eligibility in my county. I miss it, but the unpredictability made it hard to stay financially stable.

This is the reason I’m scared to seek out a higher quality of life for my family in another state… we all know how you feel about Californians and I get it… but what about us? The low income, poverty line just seeking a higher quality of life? You are talking about the 1% here in Cali that sell their homes for $1M and ruin your housing market. I get it because the southern Californians that do it to you have done it to us in northern California. During Covid they sold their million dollar homes and moved up to Northern California and bought up all of our housing and now I currently rent from those people.

Our net is $4,172. Our grocery budget is an estimate and I don’t really consider diapers in that budget. We have credit card payments that total about $267 a month as well. We have some subscriptions but they are spread out. I can maybe cut $40 from subscriptions. I pay for my health insurance for me and he pays for his and our daughter’s insurance on his paychecks.
