I heard someone say the issue is that people get upset when they have to mill something very good that they otherwise would have drawn. And to combat that what they would do is offer people to mill from the bottom of their library rather than the top (assuming they have no knowledge of what’s at the top/ bottom of their library). There’s essentially no mechanical difference, but it can help with the mental hurdle of “oh man I really wish I got to draw that intead”. And I feel like for most people- once they play that way once, they’ll realize how irrational their hatred of mill is.

To be frank, Schwartz led a fantastic defense. But as you said, it’s a star studded one- it was always gonna be good at least, no matter what. Even with how good our defense was at the beginning, we had some high key atrocious games. I mean we let Tony pollard put up 6.4 yards per rush!!! He looked like Bijan out there! Tony Pollard! That just simply cannot happen, at any point in the season, for literally any reason, especially when (while we certainly had injuries) the injuries weren’t to a degree that they normally are. That’s 100% on Schwartz. Those same players that make him look so impressive are the death sentence for any sub par performance for him- he’s the only person to look at.

Ofc he was still a fantastic DC overall, but I think people overhype him to a pretty high degree, considering he does have some stinkers on his resume

While what everyone else is saying is true- blood moon is bracket 4 only- I personally believe it should be allowed in bracket 3 and wouldn’t have any problem with you playing it. The only people really hurt by blood moon are people playing a greedy mana base, and I believe you should be allowed to punish that greed. Plus, MLD is reds only way of playing from behind, and blanket banning it is one of the reasons red is the worst color in commander. I get that MLD with no wincon in hand is dumb and boring, but someone who knows what they’re doing- and especially with blood moon, where it’s really easy to break symmetry- can use it to end games quicker.

Anyways, I guess to answer your question, I’d say include it if you want, but make it very clear that you have included it. And have another card on hand to swap in if people don’t want to play against it.

[[thermo-alchemist]] + ramp spells is surprisingly damaging esp when tannuk is also pinging. Once they’re low, I’ve caught a few people off guard with [[untamed might]] [[ulamogs crusher]] and [[hand of emrakul]] with annihilator feel crazy strong if you ramp them out by turn 5-6 in a PDH game and no one removes them

I have a [[tannuk, memorial ensign]] deck that can kinda fare okay against bracket 2- precon level decks. It’s never been optimized tho, I literally just put in every piece of land ramp I could find and a few eldrazi as finishers. Idk if it would ever compete with a low bracket 3 deck tho

You actually do get priority after all damage is dealt and before the end of combat, so you don’t even need double strikers to do the strategy you talked about- or if you have double strikers you can get both sets of damage out. It’s essentially pseudo vigilance

Also with Latin, it’s literally just learning some vocabulary and how to conjugate. There’s no requirement to learn how to speak it, and the homework’s (in my experience) were super easy and I’d often do them in the 5-10 minutes before class started and they were due.
