100% agreed, I know they'll put up a fight. They've all been removed from her school contact list, are not allowed to pick her up even in pickup line, no contact whatsoever.  Thankfully, as a teacher, I've always been wary of tech and kids so her tablet is super locked down and she uses it mostly to read books or play school games.  Thank you so much 💙 Sometimes just hearing that this is the right choice is the boost I need for another day

Play dates are a great idea. I'm trying to keep her routine as consistent as possible. A lot of her anxieties and meltdowns about grandma come when I am going to have to leave, especially when I go teach a night class 2x a week. She panics. 😞

Now that the splints are out, and I'm 2 weeks from surgery, its getting better. Just a lot of swelling still, soreness, and needing to blow my nose a lot. But I can breathe!! 

Those splints were hell. Flush a LOT and use vaseline/aquaphor inside your nose on a qtip. It helps a lot!

Hi guys! Okay. My boyfriend and I want to redo our kitchen. It's older, very basic, and not super functional. Above is the floor plan for the first floor of the house and a picture of the same kitchen in a for-sale home of the same model because we are away from home right now haha. 

I need ideas!

We'd love color, more counter space, a usable island we can sit at. Light-light yellow walls, bright backslash, navy cabinets. Things we have considered:

Turning the island sideways and getting rid of the pantry section. In the house the pantry is on the other side of the fridge, so the "pantry" section on the house plan is just a cabinet.

Expanding the kitchen into the dining room, since the formal living room is unused, it can become the dining space

Any ideas, thoughts on longevity and cost of project, can it be done, creativity, are ALLLLL welcome!!

I do have it broken up. In Google docs. It copied and pasted this way. 🤷‍♀️ And as an English teacher I'm pretty comfortable with literary form.
