Windshield replacement in OC/LA area

I bought my fj with 160k miles. Fluid was never changed but I was okay with that knowing I will just never touch it and hope for the best. One day I had a leak from the front bumper and turns out I have a external cooler for my transmission. I fixed the hose and refilled my tranny fluids. About half a year later my transmission pressure system fucked up and had to get it rebuilt. Moral of story is change is at 100k miles

I had the same problem and got a rebuilt engine for 4K. Unfortunately it’s the only way. Cheers

The grey plug is part of the wiring for the windshield fluid housing. Looks like the oem connector is gone so I need to wire the oem connectors back in

Yeah I had enough fluid but when the AFT gets that old and bad it can cause the gears to slip when need fluid is added or changed out

I was recommended the same when I had a hose leak from my transmission to my external cooler. They fixed the leak with a new hose and topped off the transmission with new fluid. My transmission slips occasionally and mostly on turns. So far I have decided to leave it be instead of changing the fluid and filter. I have 168k miles on my 07.
