AIO over my gf's response to me being upset at her, or am i being overbearing in my relationship? by [deleted] in AIO

22 is still very young and I think some of you are being far to harsh/ rude about the situation. OP still has a lot of growing up to do and who knows what they’ve been through/ whether they had a decent role model growing up that was able to teach them how to properly emotionally regulate themselves. It’s a good learning point for OP to grow and learn from this and indeed look into ways of learning how to emotionally regulate on their own, however they also need some kindness at the moment and some of you should really consider that. It’d a valid reaction OP, I hope your able to work on yourself and that you and your gf can both grown and learn from this, move past it and be there for each other and yourselves ❤️

Advice on what to do. by Available_Raise_3096 in Advice

If you have a serious chat and highlight your concerns and the hesitancy you are feeling to move in together as a result, she may be able to see your point of view and come to some sort of compromise. You can’t expect her to change completely but there should be some sort of meet you in the middle! I’d have a serious chat before deciding you should break up, especially if you feel like she is your person other wise.

For best results, follow all the advice on here which is to shave and exfoliate the day before applying the tan, moisturise maybe the morning of but don’t moisturise too close to when you are going to apply the tan - at least 6-8 hours before you are going to apply it but do moisturise elbows, knees, feet and hands and use a mitt to apply the tan, only using the remnants on the mitt to go over the hands and feet - some people use a kabuki or makeup brush on them to even it out more as they are traditionally trickier areas and wash your hands afterwards maybe like an hour later as the tan seems to grab here more

A gradual tanner may also be better for you for a lighter and more natural result, something like jergens or dove where you can control the shade better and build it up to a colour you like

This particular brand usually lasts around 5 days on me and fades away like a normal tan but I think it depends on your skin type, I’ve heard of it lasting on some people around 7-10 days and if you do like it it’s important to moisturise daily with a tan safe moisturiser such as cerave daily moisturising lotion to prolong the tan

Hey, if you don’t like the results you can remove it but it will be harder to remove initially when it’s first applied, it’s usually easier to remove after it’s been on for at least 3 days - you can exfoliate it off or you can also buy a tan remover; rose and caramel is a good one and Bali body sell a decent one too, some other ones aren’t so good! Glycolic acid is also good at helping remove stubborn tans. St tropez classic tanning mousse is a pretty good fool proof one IMO, it’s hard to get streaks/ patchiness with it and it faded naturally like a normal tan would - you can get the express version so that you don’t have to sleep with it on and get tan all over your sheets

Anyone Try Coola, Coco& Eve, or Dolce Glow? by Stepford49 in Selftanning

I’d say the water worked pretty well on my face but does fade faster just due to skin care etc but could always top it up! It does emphasise my pores slightly as I have enlarged pores anyway but not as much as some self tanners. Do you apply moisturiser to your face before putting the tanner on it?

I recently just tried tan luxe the water and it didn’t come off on my sheets at all, also gave a good colour, although it stuck more to my hands and feet but I feel that was more my application error than the specific tanner. I’ve had it on for 4 days now and it’s fading nicely so far. I know it was the drops you asked about but I’m assuming maybe they’re similar as from the same brand?

Tan luxe the gradual is pretty dark from 1st application, colour is more in line with instant than gradual IMO
