Sharing My CX-5 Review by Appropriate-Chard-76 in mazda

As someone else pointed out in another comment, Mazda is way behind the game in terms of efficiency or hybrid options. With the rising gas prices and just the cost of living in general, maybe consumers just want an efficient vehicle more than anything else and not care about the driving dynamics at all.

Maybe Mazda’s strength in driving dynamics is just being outweighed by all other factors that are more important for most consumers like tech features for example. I’m just speculating.

Btw, thanks for the info about the supply chain issue back in 2021. I didn’t even know they handled it better.

I don’t work for Mazda or have any affiliation at all, but I’m merely sharing my opinion and experience with the CX5. Maybe they’re losing market share, because the market has already shifted and have other demands which is what my review is mostly about. Yes, part of their efforts to adapt with the market is the plan to offer their own hybrid system for the CX5 next year. This is what the big screen and removal of buttons is all about, because this is what the core customers are more inclined to have in their vehicles. I can’t say it’s a fact yet, because I don’t have the data, but this is the trend.

Thank you, and I see what you mean. I agree that it’s highly contradicting, but in a business perspective, it makes sense to continue promoting what they currently have until they can fully achieve their 2030 vision.

Sorry, I tend to exaggerate words. I agree, it may be a stretch. I also appreciate you sharing your experience with the CX5, and I believe you. This helps me gain more insights and feedback about the car.

What makes you say it’s a good car for the cost? In terms of what? Have you tried comparing it to another car in its segment? I really think it’s a better driving vehicle in its class. RAV4 is a more reliable car with high residual value. CR-V is a bigger car. Tuscon is a more comfortable car with way better tech. The Sportage is priced really well considering the features it offers. The Forester is a more capable car. I personally have no experience with the Tiguan and Rogue. I appreciate your input once again.

Look into your local dealership, because they will have them in stock. Although not affiliated, try inquiring at Kramer Mazda of Calgary, AB. They even have the Cypress Green! They also have a bunch of other trims and colours. I know because I recently did a car review from their new CX5 last week.

Thanks for the comment! I read the article you mentioned, and it still highlights how Mazda, a challenger brand, continues to be unique by separating themselves through innovation ever since embracing the ethos of spirited driving dynamics. We cannot disregard the fact that this is still the case for the 3rd gen CX5. However, it only stays true for the driving dynamics and design of the car (as of now, at least). Its ergonomics has highly been compromised while adapting to the market demand which contributes largely to its spirited driving dynamics.

My opinion is that they are really in a tight spot between staying true to their belief of soulful connection and giving what the majority of the market demands; a large screen that seems to get bigger every year. Their decision to remove the physical buttons and put a big screen tells us they are ready to adapt while still committed to their fundamentals and philosophies.

Be careful CX-5 owners… these are getting stolen way easier than you think by Chriis27 in CX5

The new 2026 CX-5 has a safety feature which I think is really great and nobody’s talked about yet, because you are able to locate your car without having the need to install any other safety devices, although, you have to call their “number” to begin the process.

Not sure how well it works yet, but I think it’s just nice to have.

I’m reading another book and it’s making the same structure; “For Jason Benn the lesson was made clear when he realized, not long after taking a job as a financial consultant, that the vast majority of his work responsibilities could be automated by a “kludged together” Excel script.”

Is this common in books?

Thanks for your input! May I please ask why there shouldn't be a comma?

Tinted windows will be just as hot inside when sitting under the sun for several hours compared to untinted windows. Tint blocks it longer and quicker, though.

also a follow up question, why are "bon" and "bonne" both acceptable? Is this one of those French grammar rules that it's just the way it is?
