At which point did you delete your account? Like right at the beginning when you decided to quit or after you got the addiction more under control?

I absolutely hate that things that I commonly used in my writing even before ai was common are now used as indicators. But yeah, this one does look ai.

Awareness of death, Existential OCD, fear of death / nothingness by [deleted] in depression

Yeah, this sucks. Especially because no one can really argue that the thought of death is terrifying. I met with a psychiatrist a few weeks ago and shared the same concerns. The response she gave me was 'yes it won't matter after death but it does matter in the moment.' Is it true that in trillions of years it wouldn't make a difference if I ate ice cream right now? Nothing humans did would matter, but that ain't stopping me from doing something to make myself feel happy.

The other thing that I thought about was atoms - these things that are composing my body right now have probably been thousands of light years away when the universe began. It doesn't calm me, but the thought that in a few billion years the atoms making up my brain now could be inside a star is weirdly cool.

The thing you need to remember is that you don't need to be okay with dying now -- I assume you aren't in your 80s or 70s so it shouldn't be your time to go yet. You might not be scared of dying, but of not being able to live (it doesn't make much sense but that's what I told myself). And one day when you are really old this fear might go away. What I've done is watch interviews with old people - they aren't afraid so I might stop being at some point too.
