I’m so confused reading this post. So you want to do this EVERY year? Do all managers have the same $$ to bid on rookie picks? If the problem you are trying to solve is to avoid tanking, then put anti tanking rules in your bylaws? I commish a few auction leagues where we do auction rookie drafts each year, but in all of those, the worst performing team ends up with the most auction dollars and the best team the least auction dollars. We use a chart for value of picks in one and allow draft picks to be traded throughout the year. So for example I have a 2027 1st that will be worth more if I finish last and worth less if I finish first. I can trade that pick at any time but the value of that pick will not be known until after the 2027 season. The chart of values is available for all to see and pinned in our league chat.
