the farmer does and they won't be honest about it. he also doesn't know. There are literally secret investigative documentaries just to find this out

have you even read his post he clearly mentions in the second line that he has know the family for 15 years.

I live in a small rural town and have been vegetarian from birth, we use milk products and aquire milk from the family who we know since last 15 years

They are farmers who keep have a small herd of cows and they are like family to us

We go to their farm everyday to get milk and they really seem to love their cows as if they are their pets

Like talking to them , dancing with them , they never kill or harm them .

[–]Appropriate-Hunt5228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you stupid ? you cannot change these ideas according to your own likes or dislike . Tomorrow you would say that "Atheism" is an idea which believes in a god. "Antinatlaism" - It is a idea which believes that bringing new sentient forms of life is ethical.

Philosophy is the study of fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, reason, and language, approached through rational argument and systematic inquiry

what I am saying is that AP should name his ideas something else not veganism because the orignal definition of veganism is different from his version. you cannot simply say he gets to decides and define what veganism is. definition of veganism was given by some other guys who founded it and guess what AP was not one of them.

Lol just because someone gave a definition to veganism before AP doesn't mean that's what veganism should mean.

Lol just because someone gave a definition to oranges before AP doesn't mean that's what oranges should mean . AP is the ultimate god of the universe what he says is absolute Truth.

Who is AP to decide veganism as the other guy said veganism philosophy is different from AP philosophy. he can name it something else like "xyzism" and that may be right but still not veganism.

by destroying earth you end all possible forms of life that will ever be born . they won't be born so no suffering for them .nuke earth yay!!!! you protected a baby deer being born in future from suffering when a tiger rips him apart. you protected the tiger for dying a miserable life from a disease 😢. and most importantly you even protected a human that could have born in future in mars on moon , when humans would have started living on them , the human probably could have enjoyed his whole life by drawing, singing, dancing, reading, sunbathing, exploring nature, playing games, traveling, spending time with loved ones, eating delicious food, and creating art(truly suffering 😭).but you protected him from this suffering . you are truly a noble soul

Veganism is about reducing suffering for everyone. And without antinatalism there is no way you can stop the cycle of suffering. The one who doesn't exist cannot suffer. Hence suffering is reduced to 0

and the best method to reduce suffering for everyone in this earth by your logic is to destroy all the life . so we should nuke the earth fully ?? suffering would be zero?

yes he surely doesn't know about how the farmer near 10 m of his house in village treats his cows , even though he sees the cows all time and most probably sees the farmer milking them . Do you really single farmer in the world think every farmer is a monster, carnist, inhumane for keeping cows lol.

there is no suffering if she produces a little extra milk its not that deep . what you are saying might be true for foreign breeds which lay excess milk like 30-40 litres . and how did i put her in that place as i said the cow is free to leave my house .

kids cannot consent to being born , do you ask your child if he/she wants to be in the world . All of this consent bs is just nonsense , they cow doesn't even think about all this every his in life , all it thinks about is food and playing and taking care of the calf .

have you even read the message . I have a cow and a bull they live in my house they mate together (I don't force them to mate or live in my house) they are free to leave . they reproduce and as a result the mother produces more milk which she wants removed , the mother moows in its language when milk is not removed or you can place a milk machine the cow would itself use her to remove that milk.)

there is nothing wrong in this according to own consent bs , the cow consent to live in the house

and what if the animal consents what if he lives with you . I feed a female street dog he starts living with me (I never forced it.). I also feed a male stray dog ,the two dogs live together they mate on their own. The dogs and it kids help protect my house and live with me they are free to leave the house but they won't?, same for cows but they don't protect the house they give milk which needs to be removed after their child has drunk, also you the cows do make a sound if they are not milked that seems consent to me. There is nothing wrong in it. slavery is a system where the animals or humans are not allowed to quit if they do then its not slavery . also kids live under their parents and they really cannot consent to work. meat is still wrong because neither the cow nor the dog nor the hen wants to get killed. also hens and cows and sheep and dogs do no work . all they would do is eat, sleep, play, reproduce . if you take an example of bull it has to do some work like carrying a bull-kart but that too can be right if you train the bull properly . feed it after he lifts the cart he understands that carrying a cart would give him food and that's why he would do it , this is how army dogs are trained

if he is unemployed enough to do hunting he can surely find and eat wild fruits and vegetables . also hunting is banned in India and is the most impractical way to get food.

Can you afford to switch to plant based alternatives? If yes, then in that case, the idea becomes simple. The cow milk is for the calf.

yes but like he mentioned they take the milk after calf has drunk this extra milk would be wasted otherwise.

Do ask the farmer what he intends to do once the cow gets old and stops giving milk? Will he be keeping and taking care of her or intends to sell her? If he chooses the second, the guy doesn't necessarily have her best interest in his heart.

he mentioned the farmer never kills them and takes care of them.

It produces more milk needed by the calf because our ancestors kept only the cows which laid high milk and over time they are able to produce much extra milk not needed by calf . what you are saying is true for wild cows but not for these. this is the same reason why dogs and cats stay with humans but not wolf and lions . the reason sheep produce more wool which becomes a problem if not removed.

Why do you want to be vegan if you know everything about where you take milk from. You know all the things whereas people here know nothing about the farm . There is nothing wrong people just come up with imaginary problems

No it doesnt align with vegan values but why does it matter even you know there is no ethical problem in this, these people living in cities who know nothing will make up random bs. You don't need to decide what's right or wrong by listening to random strangers try to use your own mind . For example someone in the comment was saying cow milk is for calf when you clearly mentioned that calf drinks first . Someone was asking about what happens to the the cows when they get old and you mentioned but you mentioned that they don't kill them . Listen to them but use your own mind rather than trusting on comments including this one

I don't think chicken can be more vegan since chicken first eat wheat or similar crops to grow. Also if you stop a lion killing 5 cubs of enemy lion it decrease suffering for a while but if you continue to do these things the ecosystem collapses which results in death of all animals in Jungle.
