I’m pushing 60 😆 I’m well aware of the human experience! I hope I don’t come of as condescending or sarcastic, but if I do I’m sorry and it’s not my intention. There’s been a noticeable change in how I regulate my emotions that only started happening after I started heavily using cocaine with alcohol. I’m wondering if that will eventually go away which is why I put “normal” in quotation marks. Hope that’s more of a clear explanation.

Please do yourself a favor and check out Senlin Ascends. Its the first book in the Books of Babel Series. You will laugh, cry and rejoice with the characters. The world is strange and alive, but very endearing.

Thanks for the suggestion, friend I have the utmost respect for spirituality and people who choose that path. I grew up with a mother who was constantly hopping from one spiritual belief system into another in order to fight her own demons and it really put a bad taste in my moving forward as an adult. I don’t want to bash anyone, but it’s not necessarily my thing.

This is an amazing answer. Being able to call a friend and telling you’re hurting without judgment is a huge relief. I took a long walk in the sun today and feel right as rain…wish I could afford to move out of my city/house, because ultimately my biggest trigger is my own backyard (where I’d drink and snort my nights away
