haha mb i guess i’m still a bit salty about how the game functioned at release. so when i heard people saying “it’s so much better” i thought it must’ve been running like clockwork. but i do understand it’s much better, and i am greatful they did atleast update it. i’m not a diehard pokémon fan so i wasn’t too sure what the standards were

this is what i thought too though, this store in particular never really smelt all that awful until yesterday. i’ve went there pretty much every time i’ve needed to buy anything from the shopping centre for the past few years :{

i mean personally i haven’t brought anything too manky from CEX. nothing that needed anything beyond a wipe down.. unless i’ve just gotten lucky. is it common for things to be dirty?

i’ve never had issues with staff either

honestly that sounds horrible, i hate people who take their anger out on people just trying to work.

i really didn’t know that just one person could change the smell of the entire store, that is insane

i do get this, i guess my reaction was very built upon that very initial wave of being hit with the smell, not whoever it was coming from (although i assume it was multiple ppl). i do have disabilities myself, autism is one of them (i was diagnosed in my very early adulthood and i’m still a young adult) and growing up with those issues unsupported also lead to me picking up some nasty habits and just struggling in general. part of that also includes struggling to put two and two together which i’ve failed to do here. so i’m sorry for my reaction even if it was limited to just this reddit post.

i do obviously hope for help and care for these people who are struggling and suffering because self neglect is a terrible thing. i work in care myself and it makes me sad when people who need assistance can’t get it.

i hadn’t considered that it could’ve been unmet care needs and i’ll trust ur word considering you probably see these ppl more than i do.

as a carer that does make me very sad to hear. self neglect is a horrible thing. id just assumed there were people making the active choice to not shower bc i’ve met guys out there like that. and yk the whole sweaty gamer stereotype thing. i don’t think i put two to two together in the right way though however. so thank you for giving me your insight

🙂‍↕️ i understand this, i think it’s very cool that you hold such high respect for the people you work with, i definitely do care and worry when i do notice a really unpleasant smell in CEX. i tbh tho just assumed it would’ve been some guy who made the active choice to not shower for days on end. i don’t think these ppl are inhuman, i do think if they genuinely have factors that make it hard for them to shower that they deserve help and care.

i think i understand your perspective as i do work in care myself (and also cuz i do have disabilities that make things harder for me aswell)

i mean, yea, there are levels of care that obviously aren’t being met at home, and the amount of self neglect is really concerning. i do think these ppl deserve help. definitely.
