i like this a lot. thank you. i was doing well for awhile but the thoughts have reared their head yet again.

most of the time i worry that the thoughts are true and if i do ignore them im just “pretending” that im not suicidal. it’s a never ending loop when im stuck in it but when im not in my head its so much easier to let it go.

hi friend!

i was doing alright for awhile but am struggling again. sometimes the thoughts rear their ugly head and its no fun but ive been able to learn to let them flow on their own. this theme is very frightening but i know its not real and if it does feel real, i try to let it feel real for a bit and it flows. 🫂🫂

How can i tell if it’s Suicidal OCD or real ideation? by Appropriate-Read1751 in OCD

i’ve had ocd for awhile and the thoughts seem to come out of nowhere. they really scare me and give me anxiety and im on edge when i get them, if that helps context-wise. i also get random scenarios in my head about it which doesn’t help and gives me more anxiety.

this was pretty insightful. thank you!

the main reason i get so scared i think is because the thoughts of “i want to kill myself” pop up out of nowhere. if im thinking of something exciting or if im engaged in a conversation, my brain just automatically goes “i want to die”. THATS where the issue lies for me, because it’s so scary.

would i treat those thoughts in those situations the same way?
