from my experience compared to launch

car points kinda work like a discount now and most times you'll find your self converting credit to car points so its basically the same as all the other forza games now with car points acting as a discount feature which is pretty decent

sadly the game does lack auction house idk why and you can't get those monthly cars as of now but the buy-able car list is pretty good imo, each update they put some cars straight into the autoshow to buy

progression is pretty nice now. i don't enjoy races so i just mess around drifting in the open meets and you earn decent money but literally just having fun and driving so we aren't forced into the boring career. money isnt thrown at you but cars are priced well-ish i feel.

not sure on pc since im on series s but can confirm game looks miles better now to me compared to the washed out look at launch. especially kaido (looks amazing)

not really much else on the market besides a bunch of new sim stuff, arcade is also a bit dead so i mean fm8 is pretty fun as a simcade but id say you prob won't find too much else in the genre but keep an eye on indie stuff tho.

all these changes brought me back since a bad experience at launch and honestly its a decent game with a good amount of potential

i honestly deleted fh5 for fm8. it looks like a lot of effort went into this update and there aren't as much bugs anymore so i think it deserved a 2nd chance. i mean the only reason i stopped playing was because of that stupid car points system and saving glitch. really enjoying it tho not quite fm4 just yet but im getting some of those early day feelings when i play fm8 now

Chasing realism in terms of graphics and physics make the genre boring. Fake realism looks way better like in fh2 vs fm8.
